5 Things making your Pinterest Board impossible to replicate in your home

Settling on a final design idea for your home's interior can be hard. There is SO much inspo out there... how do you choose?
Im currently working on a project where my client has had their pinterest board for while.
They said:
'I've been waiting on this day for 6 months to do my home exactly like this, and now its not working out. I have my heart set on it!
After I visited their home, and looked at the photos. Straight away I knew exactly what was throwing them off.
There was a clear gap between the Pinterest dream and the real-life space it was meant to live in.
So... lets get into it
Lighting
You know that warm, glowy light in every Pinterest photo?
It's not just a filter, its layers of lighting, huge windows, or perfect natural orientation that your space might not have (yet)
Room Flow
On Pinterest, rooms spill into one like a movie set. But in real life, your layout might feel choppy, narrow, or just not built for that seamless look you love.
Ceiling
That open, airy feel?
A lot of it comes from high ceilings you didn't even realise were doing so much heavy lifting until you tried to re-create the vibe at home.
Room Size
Pinterest rooms are often hie with space to breathe between furniture.
If you're working with tighter rooms, the same look can quickly feel cramped or cluttered.
PRO TIP: Always check your measurements!
The Details
You might be falling for the charm of archways, fireplaces and original woodwork features, that secretly give homes so much personality and polish.
Ask yourself... is this what is making me love the final look or is it something else?
Designer Takeaway:
You don't have to sell up or knock your house down and start again, just because things aren't turning out how you hoped.
There's always a way around it with the right design to make your style work for you and your home.
And remember, Pinterest is for inspo and not copy and paste.
Its impossible.
